We process personal data exclusively in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG). Below we explain the nature, scope and purpose of the processing carried out on this website.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by an external service provider ([hosting provider, e.g. Vercel Inc., USA]). In doing so, technical access data (see server log files) may be processed. Where data is transferred to a third country, this is based on appropriate safeguards (e.g. EU standard contractual clauses). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing the website securely and efficiently (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. Server log files

When the website is accessed, information transmitted by your browser is automatically collected: IP address, date and time, page accessed, volume of data transferred, referrer as well as browser and operating-system information. This data serves technical provision and security and is deleted or anonymised after a short time.

5. Contact & forms

When you contact us via the contact or catering form or by email, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, message) in order to handle your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Where an external form service is used ([e.g. Formspree or similar]), the data is processed there; please add the relevant provider. We retain the data only for as long as is necessary to handle your request.

6. Map display (OpenStreetMap)

To display our locations we use the open-source map library Leaflet, which we host ourselves, together with map tiles from OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John's Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom). When the map loads, your IP address is transmitted to OpenStreetMap's servers so that the map tiles can be delivered. No cookies are set and no data is processed for advertising purposes. For details see the privacy policy of the OpenStreetMap Foundation. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in an appealing, privacy-friendly presentation of our locations (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

7. External links & services

Our website links to external ordering and delivery platforms, app stores, voucher and social-media services. When you click them, the privacy terms of the respective provider apply. We have no influence over their data processing.

8. Cookies

This website sets no marketing or tracking cookies. If you select the language (DE/EN) at the top, your browser stores that choice locally on your device (local storage, entry “honu_lang”) so the site appears in your language on your next visit. This information does not leave your device and does not allow any conclusions about your identity; you can delete it at any time via your browser settings. For anonymous audience measurement we use Vercel Web Analytics – a cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics tool that sets no persistent identifiers and collects only aggregated, anonymised usage statistics (e.g. pages viewed, device type, approximate region of origin). No personal profiles are created and no data is shared with third parties for advertising. Beyond that, only technically necessary functions required to operate the site are used. Should further services be integrated in future, this policy will be updated accordingly.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. To exercise these, contact info@honu.at.

10. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority: www.dsb.gv.at.
